Balls and batteries: a perfect match

Taking up Panasonic Batteries’  new campaign, we faced a double challenge: to introduce the brand’s re-named ranges, and to educate the consumer on which batteries to use for which appliances. For our creative concept, we decided to go with the successfull flow that is the 2010 WorldCup. Curious about the compatibilty of batteries and balls? Show off your soccer skills in our online game!

Always in for a wacky Design is Dead creation, Pienternet assigned us to create an online quiz to kickstart the new school year in a fun yet educational way. Which led to the creation of the Ass Kiss Class: a game where you have to answer as correct and fast as possible to please the teach and win some Pienternetastic prizes.

Iceland, with its seriously zen sceneries and revitalizing spa’s, was absolutely the way to go. Absolutely kiss-proof!

We have just launched a brand new and minty fresh website for Mentos’ latest chewing revelation, Aqua Kiss. A bubbly Flash-production including fun facts and an online survey about kissing behaviour in Belgium and the Netherlands. We also developed the mail-campaign promoting this new kiss proof product. The mile high club

Our Panasonic-mission was to develop a concept reaching out to the younger segment of battery users. Always keen on breaking boundaries, we took the promise of “energy” a level (and a continent) further, and launched an online competition with a very energetic prize: a citytrip to New York, including a thrill-ride in a world-record-holding rollercoaster. An energy boost unlike any Red Bull you’ve ever poured down your throat! We sure made those batteries seem a whole lot sexier.

The sound of music

In a world ruled by K3 and Mega Mindy, bringing classical music to children is quite a challenge. Luckily, DeFilharmonie decided to team up with Design is Dead for the apparent mission impossible to make a website for children about their orchestra. We mixed, matched, animated and created a fun, playful and very intuitive discovery tour through the wonderful world of violins and wind sections. It earned us –amongst others- an honourable record in Weekend Knack magazine. Beat that, Mega Mindy!

Rewarding friendships

Your friends for a free phone? Sounds like a fair trade operation! BASE launched this member-gets-member procedure, and we created the accompanying website. A clean, userfriendly and agile hotspot where visitors easily find their way to the required information and gifts.

Grimm revisited

BASE equipped one of its Antwerp based shops with a touchscreen, so that their customers would be able to windowshop for call credit 24/7. A useful tool, since -honestly- you don’t wanna run out of calling value in a situation like this naughty red riding hood! We created an animated screensaver and teaser campaign to attract the attention of passers-by and stimulate them to top up before bad things happen.

A four-day-marathon of musical delicacies calls for an equally rockalicious representation online: we know that much after designing the music feast’s webspot for years. For the 2008 edition, we pulled out all tricks to provide music lovers with nicely wrapped and much needed information, fun stuff and some homemade behind-the-scenes footage.

Fountains of fun

What happens when you put a Mentos dragee in a bottle of coke? Well, you get a fountain as explosive as a Design is Dead creation… Some fun-lovin’ fools turned this experiment into a World Record sport, and we happily created a very bubbly website for the belgian World Record attempt. In a (world) record of time, for that matter!
